Join our expanding team at QuiX Quantum in Stuttgart, Germany, we're seeking a dedicated Photonics Production Engineer to drive our production efforts. If you're ready to play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge quantum computing solutions to market, we want you on board!

What will you be doing?      

As a photonics production engineer, you will be part of the engineering team, that works on assembling, testing and delivering our photonic processors to our customers.  

You will take care of:

·      Assembly, characterization, and commissioning of photonic processors, ensuring the quality of production, assembly, and commissioning.  

·      Test, measurement, and characterization of photonic devices, including setup and production equipment maintenance and data acquisition and analysis.

·      Delivery, repair, upgrade and test of photonic processors.

·      Logistics including procurement of components, inventory and stock management.

·      Manage contacts with customers and provide customer service and support.

We can shape the position depending on seniority.

What we ask of you:

·      Bachelor/Master degree in Applied Sciences, Photonics, Electrical engineering or relevant discipline

·      Minimum of 2 years work experience in production, engineering or customer service and support

·      Experience with optical and electronic equipment like lasers, multi-meters, etc

·      Hands-on knowledge or willingness to learn to characterize photonic devices .Willingness to travel to customers sites (mainly within Germany) for on-site installation, service and support.

·      Organized and methodical with excellent communication and teamwork skills. Hands-on mentality with pro-active, accurate and independent style of working.

·      Experience with logistics, procurement and inventory management. Experience with using an ERP system is a plus.

·      Knowledge of photonic and/or electronic components is an advantage.

·      Knowledge of Python is a plus.

·      Proficiency in English language (verbal & written). Knowledge of German is a plus.

Employment conditions:
